The Roanoke Settlement and the Los Colonists

The first real breakthrough in the search for the Los colonists and the Roanoke settlement came in the 1990s when archaeologists discovered the site of the workshop of a German metallogist. Since 2012 archaeologists have been excavating there for material and they have found Elizabethan and 17th century artifacts. It's not clear however whether these are things that would have belonged to the Roanokes themselves or things that might have been, you know, brought later by English settlers in the mid 17th century.
