How the Drugs Changed the Culture on the Street

By the late 19 eventies, just about every major figure in the black liberation movement had a cocaine issue. The police realized that by killing black leaders, that they were creating martyrs. They wanted to change the culture on the street from one of a revolutionary or or nationalistic o culture, to one of a gangster culture. If you look at all these movies, black seaser, superfly, all those movies basically glorify the hustler,. the street hustler, the pimp, you know, the drug dealer.
