The tragedy of gary was put on at the globe in late 16 hundred and four. The reason being it was a dramatization of an attempted assassination of king james. After two performances, there was talk of it being hauled off stage. Courtiers were appalled by the subject. This might be an overstepping of what the authorities consider to be the proper limits of what you might show on stage. Who knows where it might lead?
