The Power of Ghostwriters

The idea of Ghostwriter is always graded on me, especially when the writing is coming from journalists. I think it says something about celebrity and what we expect from our celebrities. Just because someone is good at tennis does not make them a good writer; they don't need to be. It would be enough for them to be experts in their field and then have other writers come in and get a little bit of credit for what they do. But something about the process and something about how you sell books is that you, the Ghostwriter, is very much a ghost. That doesn't work. And we're seeing the way that that doesn't work with David Agass.
