The Trial of Douglas Douglas in New South Wales
By 1841, it's very clear he's not enjoying things. Douglas was identified as a person of color by the color of his hands. The only time in his life where he is ever convicted for bush-ranging crime is in New South Wales in 1841. So putting aside the legend, it's pretty embarrassing to be honest. He runs away with another convict. They stop someone on the road, pull him over, get him to unload his goods,. And then they take those things they've stolen back to their convict quarters and their court.
