When we came up with a concept of trend stat in the day, we were trying to figure out whether it added value or not. The thing that helped me the most feel comfortable with any kind of new indicator was when I go into my office and tell my secretary, Lisa, I'm going to be going down this research result. And I would take a ruler and I would start with page one, put the ruler on there and I would read with the market then that day. Now I'd ask myself this one question, did that strategy perform that day like you would have expected it given the type of market that you had that day? It's very important to understand it to that level
