Science Fiction and Feminized Technologies
The default voices of all these technologies are female voices. Their names tend to be feminized kinds of sounding names, right? And i mean, you can change them to have masculine voices now, but certainly the default is that they were feminized. We're unable to sort of occupy that imaginative space where we can see these as the sort of spy agents that they really are in our homes. A different kind of science fiction unpacks that and lets you look at the underlying design.
