A Walk in the Sun in Zambia

In Zambia, nearly two-thirds of people already live on less than $2 a day. The country has also weathered periods of long drought and harvests have been disappointing. Qasar Alom recently visited the country and discovered the sacrifices people are having to make to survive the double whammy of higher food and fuel prices. At home, Bridget has two children and her mother to provide for. Her mother has arthritis and looks after her son who has special needs.
