Azota-Backed Seed Treatments Can Improve Plant Growth
azota-backed is probably the most prolific of the free-living nitrogen fixes and they really ask something special. When applied as a seed treatment, they multiply rapidly in the root zone and they're fed by carbon exudates from the host plant. They can continue to fix atmospheric nitrogen for the entire crop cycle - that's pretty important considering that nitrogen has recently treblered in price. And yet another study of paddy rice in India there was a 71.2% yield increase in the rice treated with zota-backed. Now I would personally favor two applications of foliar urea at 15 kilograms per hectare in conjunction with azota- backed seed treatment. We've got
