The Beginning or the End

In 1946, both MGM and Paramount raced to make the first A-bomb movie. Iin Rand was hired by Paramount to write a screenplay for the second movie. She actually wrote a rival book called Atlas Rugged. There's no way that Truman would have ever had to invade once we had tested the bomb. He had the option of waiting a bit, a few days, a couple of weeks, and then dropping more bombs.
