The Artifact of Tutankhamun
Despite all the critical analysis, 100 years on, there's still something undeniably magical about Tutankhamun and his treasures. The facial expression of thought with this simple smile he's got in his face, it makes it quite personal. You can totally relate to him, you can look at the mask and you don't just see an artifact, but you can see a person. I think we lose sight of that in our, especially intellectual discussions over what these objects have come to mean.
