The Importance of Common Sensical Aspects in Trading

The system is designed to focus on the fundamentals. You don't want to buy a stock because it's got great fundamentals, you want to get in at the right entry point. The common sensical aspects of O'Neill's system were derived from Richard Wyckoff, who started the journal Wall Street. And he was also the one who initially wrote about Jesse Livermore, the famous trader, also known as the boy plunger. But these two men, in the earlier part of the 1900s, really put together some of the common sense aspects such as cutting your losses and not getting caught up by news.
