When you start digging into the various hells of buddhism, obviously, e, they get wider and broader. Each document gives us a different number of hells. They get very specific, usually based on who they're trying to convince. And one idea of hell, and perhaps it wasn't meant as humorous, but i find it funny, is of the of the mayor of shabalba,. In this document known as the popeve or the book of the people, it relates the journey you have to take through the various levels of the underworld to reach shabalba.
