The first volume, published in 1941, was written by George Orwell and features interviews with Americans who fought for their country during the conflict. In this edition, we talk to author David Wheeler about his time spent working on the project as well as how it affected him personally. We also look at some of the issues that have come up over the last few years when he has been trying to get back into writing again.
