Cirena and the Parthians, and the Romans, a Roman Mistake
Cirena, the successful party in general, had to bring Crassus back one way or another. And so they all broke out in different ways. But again, he was lucky because it was a Roman mistake. By mistake, Cirena went to one place and asked to speak to Crassus. He's not here. Or we don't know where he is. But in fact, he said, oh yes, he'll be down shortly. I don't think Crassus came down exactly shortly but he did come down for some kind of parlay and a truce. The Romans normally thought, even if they lost a battle, they could always win the argument afterwards
