The Importance of Moving Star Players Before the Start of the Season

Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Cooper Cup are the Rams' top three players. The team is in rebuild mode after a disappointing season last year. It's not out of the realm of possibility for teams to move star players before start of training camp. But I just don't understand why the Rams would put those players at risk.
