Do Peasants Feel Solidarity With One Another?
There's a lot of evidence of people moving around. They don't all move to towns, they just move to other villages. But that doesn't ruin the need for families to cooperate with one another. The village is very much a collective institution and everyone has a say in how the fields are run.
