This has all happened before, it's happened numerous times before, the amazing thing. The extraordinary thing is that the event that has now taken place on a global level and the events that took place in a much smaller world 200 years ago. So given that we have a relatively small number of data points to go on, I mean Ben Bernanke managing this crisis is facing entirely on 1929 as though that's the only collapse that's ever been. People talk about 1929, 1929, well it's dangerous to rely too much on one data point when you're dealing with something so important.
