There is a sense that maybe we are seeing, you know, a moment where far right governments are gaining power. Maloney succeeded in convincing a significant number of Italian voters that she was more coherent than the other politicians around her. There are headwinds against her in Europe. The biggest question I think for Europeans is whether anything that happens in Italy might increase the odds that Marine Le Pen eventually becomes France's president.
