Friends of Jesus - Chapter Six

Nicodemus is one of my favorite characters. He can represent what i could call being an intellectual in the church, people who are more comfortable with questions and reasoning and arguments. Being friends of jesus doesn't insure you against pain and loss and suffering. What it promises you is that when suffering, jesus will come to you. But he may not raise your dead, but he will ease your suffering. So i really enjoyed kind of walking through this chapter. I've loved, i've long loved the bortrayal of martha and mary. And once again, it's great if you're doing this typologically, because it shows how important women are
