Did Evolution Knock You Over the Head?

A lot of christians don't believe in macro, which is like species level evolution. So they would believe that humans were created out of, out of thing, not from an existing species and just kind of li popped into existence. But as i learned more about evolution, i realize that's not the correct way of looking at it. There's certain lineages that go back teav common lineages, but they'res not that straight. They're cousins. And there's branches where some branches go off in a different way, and then they go extinct. Maybe that form of reproduction doesn't stay and then that branch continues down.
