What Is the Story of the War?

Prior to the war, m i five had drawn up a list of people who they were certain were nancy sympathizers or communists. At that time, they distributed this list to police forces around the country and said, when war breaks out, open this envelope and arrest all the people in it. So about 500 individuals were arrested on the outbreak of war. These were seen as the ino dedser categoryas we've got to get them locked up as soon as possible. And you can sort of have sympathy for them here. They were understaff at the time, far too small for really the task that they were given,. which was to protect britain from potential threats within.
