There were lots of attempts and ideas, I suppose we could say, we could say that a came out of that first Scotland England game. What we are supposed to call the Home International Championships, but at the time it was called the British International Championships. That lasted from about 1883 for pretty much 100 years to the 1980s. And then you had lots of tournaments, kind of club based tournaments, a number of them kind of based in Italy. So AC Milan and Inter Milan played their first match in Switzerland. You had the Thomas Lipton trophy, which famously won by the amateur side West Auckland against them,. A number of took place in Turin, Italian Swiss and German teams.
