Every share of stock that has been issued has to be held by someone at every point in time until it is retired. For every seller, there has to be a buyer who will hold stocks over the completion of this market cycle. Even if you went on TV and the president of the United States of America said to everyone, get out now, take your profits off the table, go home, there's going to be bad times ahead. It just doesn't work that way.
