Michael Rus was born in 1940, just when the Second World War was starting. He grew up as a Quaker and his father drove Italian prisoners of war out to the fields where they could work. As a teenager he always felt that he got some talent, but didn't know what it was. In his late twenties he suddenly realized that he had the ability to write 3000 words day after day after day.
