A Review of Edgar Allan Poe's Dupen Stories

i'm andrew jones and nathan crick. We look at the way that logic gets baked into Edgar Allan poe's detective stories. In real life, he decided to use this same kind of logical scaffolding to actually solve real world cases. And so he made some predictions based on a real world murder case in new york, and was terribly wrong about the outcome of it. The mathematics can work very nicely in narrative worlds, but in the real world, things are always a little bit more complicated than the mathematics.
