The Piano - The Sound on Sound Podcast

The cintilline was a bit prominent, so i decided to tune it down at touch, but wash it with acres of reverb. The choppy attack is what grabs the attention and allows the piano to rise above all the other sounds. Finally, we come to the drum beat. My aim here was to make the drums sound a little more punchy and to tighten the sustained elements of the drum sounds. I adopted no smoothing and a transient decay of only seven. This made suret to keep the transience short and tight.
