System 76 allegedly developing their own destop environment. Many will say this is fragmenting, but this is how innovation works. I spent years distro hopping because nothing ever fit quite right for me until i found soulless budgy. The biggest thing for me is that if we had more consistency and unification as a whole, i'd be easier to target for application developers. It's part of why we such a hard time with the gpu acceleration in the browser,. We haven't really settled on one.
