The Morality of Bombing
In one night in March, the Americans kill around 100,000 people. It's arguable that more people were killed in that one night in Tokyo than were killed by either of the two atomic bombs. I interviewed one of the pilots or one of the aircrew who took part in this. And it was fascinating because he said, well, you know, we went back and had some had some breakfast and there was total distancing. That would do to your mind. But he was able to have breakfast and he hasn't because he's doing it. Was the phrase he used is kind of like a video game. Those figures at the bombing of Tokyo are really striking, aren't they
