US Farm Policy in Latin America

In 1898, the US establishes a protectorate over Cuba. It reserves for itself the right to intervene militarily in Cuba and also establish a naval base at Guantanamo. In the early part of the 20th century, there's just a catalogue of military interventions and occupations in Nicaragua and Haiti. And you can see that continuing in the 1950s once you get to the Eisenhower presidency.
