Is Seven Days a Good Time to Treat a UTI?
The study had to have 284 participants, but they were only able to get 240. The seven-day therapy group was found to be 21% worse than the 14-day group for a risk difference of 21 percentage points. This is a study where you can't prove superiority or anything like that. But all we can say based off of this is that seven days is not enough time to treat a febrile UTI and men who meet inclusion criteria.
