How to Enter Into Finance From a Non-Traditional Background
A non-traditional academic background to me is someone who didn't study economics, finance, business, or STEM science. You don't have to have studied something traditional, but if you have that, you need to be able to answer those questions around skills and interests. The other way to think about being non-traditional is having being from a non-traditional demographic. If it looks like the analyst associate population has been very different for the past few years, that tells you the organization is committed to this as a value.
