Budgeting vs Tracking

i want to get into some of the nuts and bolts of now that we know the why we know the goals. The first place people have o do as you have to have that margin. You actually have to be able to live on less than you make. And i want to give you a point to talk about the difference between budgeting versus tracking. But but by budgeting ahead of time, instead of writing down the mistakes that i made, how do i set up a system so i don't make that mistake in the first place?
