I don't know if it was necessarily pre planned, but i think that it has certainly been an accepted ending. There was no way they were going to just let the leaders of this revolt walk off the field unreprimanded. They weren't going to respect any of his the nobility around him. But for richard, he was this divinely appointed boy king who they saw as this sort of slightly glowing young boy who was their saviour. So when he rode forward and he addressed them as their king and promised to hear their grievances, and said, i hear you. I will make sure that all these terms are arranged. You will have your freedom t he told them what they wanted
