Last year, China added more renewable capacity than the US, Europe, India, Asia, and Latin America combined. The cost of storage has declined energy storage to the point where combining it with a utility scale solar facility in some locations is now competitive with gas peaker plants. There's been about $6 trillion spent on renewable energy since 2005. And the world is still about 80% reliant on fossil fuels down from 85%.
