Jurors also brought in some other people who they did not charge their crimes for a variety of reasons, whether with statute problems or they didn't want to cooperate. Under an evidence code section in California at 1108, you can bring those people in to prove a motive, a signature, a time or an identity. So they'll tell their story and if their story helps the jury find for the accuser, the jurors can use that.
