The Case of Ruben and Misty
The case drags on into September of 1993, a full year after Misty had gone missing. Investigators bring Ruben back in for questioning, where he sticks mainly to his story. With no evidence and nothing more than their suspicions, he is released again. Nothing happens until 1997 when Corey gets the forensic results from Misty's pants that were processed in 1993. On the pants were found hairs, fibers, and three red paint chips.Corey wants to tie these red paint chips back to Randy.
