Hendry: It's one thing to look at the world and observe the world. But that doesn't mean just because you observe it, just because you're smart enough to say Fed policy is great or Fed policy is bad, doesn't mean you necessarily trade that way. Try telling that to a crowd of investors. Think inflation by bonds, by long dated bonds. The only other traders that I saw that had performance in October of 2008 that was that successful, that fantastic were trend following traders. Paltrow de Jones did it in 1987. He was heralded as a genius and I was heralding as a kind of crazy guy. 50% in October of2008.
