Do You Need to Replace the Cobal?
A lot of banks commis a study, and it comes back and says, yes, you know, you could rewrite all this co ball line for line in a new language. And then some places have, what, thought about it and just failed, or decided it cost too much both. The problem you've got is really long term maintenance with human capital. Do you have programmers who will understand how that code base works? Are you bringing new people in and forcing them ti ike, stare at it line by line to really figure it out? That's, that's a problem.
