Yao was just 20 years old when he took up the mantle of rule, but he proved himself more than equal to the job. He would be extolled for millennia as being morally perfect and a sage king among sage kings. Yao is said to have invented the game of Go, known in Chinese as Wei Chi. It remains wildly popular throughout Asia, and is also pretty popular in the west.
