Artichoke - A Must Plant Perennial Vegetable
I'm actually planning to put an asparagus bed in in the late winter here and I guess begin that 20 year journey of growing it in my place. It is not quite hardy enough for us, but in zone seven or above, I think artichoke is a mainstay must plant perennial vegetable. We kind of have to do some special overwintering to make it work and it doesn't get nearly as big in our climate. Oh my gosh, probably the most stunning of all the perennial vegetables.
