Your book is about how women fight wars, and it does seem to that they fight it not with swords and violence, but with intrigue and manipulation. Can you tell us a bit more about this? Because it's not just cecily who's a very strong, powerful matriarch in the book. There's also marguerite ovango, for example. That was one of the challengers of writing the novel, because i was very clear from the outset that we were going to see this story through cecily's eyes.
