"I leapfrogged over a lot of people in comedy in New York because I had this wrestling background and I knew all these people," he says. "It was a nerve wracking experience, but again, like when you're in front of all these people and you're able to make them laugh and to riff and to just control the audience, like it's such a different feeling."
