Trump Might Sue in Advance in Civil Court to Block the Subpoena
The other alternative here that I was wondering about is whether Trump might sue in advance in civil court to block the subpoena. That's a tactic that his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, took. It's kind of a way for the witness to remove the fear of contempt and to have adjudication of the semunity without having sort of put the opportunity or the chance of being charged criminally. When Trump could do that, I have a hard time seeing why he would.
