What Are the Problems With Primaries?
iink ju: Primaries have historically been a driver of racial subordination in our society. I think primaries are a source of political inequality, unresponsiveness and the opening of the door to various forms of institutional racism. When i see booker after the 20 20 democratic primary, expressing the fury he sense, he had, a sense of bile, i overtaking him because of the ways in which black candidates,. all quality candidates, had been moved out of the primary. It's part of this lineage of racial animus, or, in this case, i would say, latent institutional disregard for the equal rights of african Americans.
