The Curse of the Meat-Hall
King Hrothgar built a meat hall in his kingdom, but it soon became haunted. More men and women were taken from the hall as they tried to go home at night. The king was so ashamed that he boarded up the place with heavy chains. A group of strange people arrived on the shore who said they could help him defeat the monster. He accepted their offer; now no one would live within a few miles of the hall.
