The Problem With the Voluntary Carbon Market
Climate offsetting today happens through markets and carbon credits. Most of them are private markets set up by private organizations, often not regulated by government. But these carbon markets are in big trouble right now. They were very excited a couple of years ago when the voluntary carbon market went from 1 to 2 billion, but it's been stopped for the last two years.
