Khosala's Exile in the Chagatai Khanate

Khosala was a seven-year-old boy when his brother, Ayurbarwata, became king. Khosala tried to take over the throne of Kaishan by staging an abortive revolt in Shanshi. He then fled into exile and ended up at the Chagatai Khanate on the western side of the Altai. John W. Dardis writes: "The Chagatid Khan would keep Khosala as an ace up his sleeve"
