The Different Types of Skafoid Fractures
Skafoid fractures typically have a history of a high or low energy fall onto an outstretched hand. Symptoms can include a variable level of pain over the wrist. An MRI is most sensitive for diagnosis of occult fractures less than 24 hours. It can be indicated for immediate identification of fractures slash ligamentous injuries as well as assessment of vascular status of the bone.
