Social Democracy Is Great, but Why?
For every dollar spent on police, prisons and the court system, the government at all levels spent more than 12 on social programmes. The reason why this doesn't happen is because in a capitalist society, revenue is in the hands of the rich. Politicians are hesitant to tax alits, since taxation threatens investment. To fix crime, we need to fix poverty. And to do that, we need massively redistribute the wealth and power from the few to the many.
